What have you learned from your audience feedback?
Animatic audience feedback
-we gathered a group of students and invited them to watch our animatic for our video 'Riptide'. Once they had watched this we then asked them some follow up questions such as 'what was the song about' 'who the target audience was?' and 'what artists are our there already who are similar to Emma Stevens?'

-That the target audience would be for children-young adults and that our main focus was girls
-Similar artists were Demi Lavato, Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez.
From receiving this feedback we discovered that in fact we did not have to make any changes as our planned target audience were also children to young adults and mainly girls.
Narrative Feedback
-We then asked students who were not familiar with this side of media aspects to analyse our narrative. We again asked whether or not they felt the narrative we had chosen suited the song and again we gathered the same response. It was made evident that solely by the nature of the song lyrics it was clear that the narrative would have to be a love song. This was fitting as we had originally planned a video with the theme of love allowing us to proceed with our work without any changes being made.
How did audience feedback impact the video?
-Audience feedback was a key element when evaluating our narrative and video concept.

-When taking this into account we removed some of the shots of the performance and replace them with short clips of London landmarks creating synergy throughout.
-By receiving this feedback it provided with the knowledge on how to change the video in order to create a more professional looking final product.
-When focusing solely on the lip syncing, our feedback was mainly positive stating that it was near to perfect however there were certain clips that were slightly off which were highlighted by the accuracy of it throughout.
What was the audience response to the first viewing?
-This for us was seen as the most important viewing as people who watched it were able to give back feedback there and then and allowed us to change anything. However our feedback were mainly positive with many saying that they were impressed with the lip sinking as well as enjoying the featured shots of London landmarks including the London eye and Big Ben.
-This was hugely beneficial as it allowed us to remove clips of the protagonist and instead play shots of London as well as fixing where the lip syncing was not accurate leaving us eventually with a product that met the audience's expectations.
